It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merrillyn Phoenix Kamp (Valdese, North Carolina), born in San Francisco, California, who passed away on June 24, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Merrill Phoenix; and her brother Jim Phoenix. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Kamp; and her children, Jeff Kamp (Gentry), Melinda Wallrichs (Tom) and Alicia Kirkpatrick (Steve). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
