It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Lee Powell (Valdese, North Carolina), who passed away on June 9, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garlie Powell and Elsie Abee Powell; his daughter Tina Marie Powell Wright; his siblings, Willard Powell, Barney Powell, Louise Miller, Mazie Nichols and Wilma Gooden; and his nephew Danny Lee Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Winkler Powell; his daughter Susan Powell Pope (Bradley); his grandchildren, Rodney Rector (Alleen), Jody Rector, Heather Wright and Brooklyn Wright; his stepgrandchildren, Lacey Charlet (Mack) and Dylan Pope; his great grandchildren, Kynzley Rector of Rodney, Amelia Rose Hall, Easton Charlet, Ezra Charlet and Roczen Pope; and his brother-in-law Nickie Winkler.
