He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Franklin (Cindy) of Morganton; his son-in-law David Fletcher of Valdese; his grandchildren, Katherine Fletcher, Rachel Franklin and Isaac Franklin; his great grandchildren, James Fletcher and Luke Franklin; and his sister Lorraine Key. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
