He was predeceased by: his father Lemuel Childers; and his son-in-law Archie Pilgrim. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Butler Childers; his daughters, Vicki Sigmon (Walter) and Gina Pilgrim; his sisters, Phyllis Bollinger and Mary Emma Tysinger; and his grandchildren, Jeff Sigmon, Jennifer Hennessee, Jamie Ward, Jon-Michael Bolding, Joshua Bolding, Jeremy Bolding, Joseph Bolding, Jesse Bolding and James Pilgrim. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
