He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Sain and Margaret Fox Sain; and his sister Jean Fox. He is survived by: his daughters, Sylvia Smith (Danny) of Valdese, Janice Sain of Morganton and Joyce Denton (Steve) of Morganton; his grandchildren, Priscilla Lambert, Chelsey Smith, Deven Chapman, Justin Denton, Shaun Denton, Ryan Smith and Abel Smith; and his sister Olivia Carswell (Leon) of Morganton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
