He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Walker Whitener; his brother Terry Whitener (Melanie Whitener); his niece Lindsay Loyer (Brian Loyer); his nephew Jeremy Whitener; his great-niece Lily Loyer; and his great-nephew Tyler Loyer.
