He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leon Bass and Pearl Mae Burgin; his former wife Fannie Fox Bass; his granddaughter Debra Bass Edwards; and his sister Josephine Bass Browning.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Pritchard Bass; his children, James Bass (Catherine), Joyce Bass Wilber (Mike), Wanda Kay Bass Cook (Bob), Delores Bass Trenary (Gilbert), Karen Bass Suttles (Tim) and Libby Pritchard Bridges; his grandchildren, Bryan Bass, Michael Wilber, Teresa Cook, Bobby Cook, Rebecca Shelton, Tommy Joe Hensley, Windy Reinhardt, Christine Suttles Wolfe and Tim Eugene Suttles; and his siblings, Lula Mae Roberts (Rom), Martha Rector (Marshall) and George Bass (Chris). He is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
