Rivera (Gene) of Hickory; her grandson Phil Smith (Penny) of Morganton; her great grandchildren, Garrett Smith and Andrew Smith of Morganton; her brother George "Tom" Hildebrand (Joyce) of Drexel; her niece Kay Williams of Drexel; her cousins, Diane Cook of Connelly Springs, Sue Carol Joiner of Houston and Josie Brittain of Connelly Springs; her nephew Danny Hildebrand (Margaret) of Connelly Springs; and her close friends, Evelyn Kiser Robertson, Evelyn Webb, Susan Haire, Faye Peeler and Travis Yancey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
