He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Preston Young, Geneva Young, Earl Howell and Altha Howell; his aunt Louise Robinson; and his niece Trisha Ann Young.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Crider Young; his children, Edward "Eddie" Young (Lynn) and Elizabeth Ann Young; his grandchildren, Petty Officer Second Class and Emily Ann Young; his brother Roger Lee Young (Jean); and his nephews, Andrew Young, Todd Young (Michelle), Kyzer and Kayden.
