He was predeceased by: his father Harlin Murray Sr.; and the mother of his children Janet Berry. He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Hinshaw (Garrett) of Hickory and Meg Shoupe (Mike) of Valdese; his stepdaughter Ashley Seshul of Raleigh; his siblings, Jerry Murray, Harold Murray, Kenneth Murray, Robert Murray and Debra Nichols; his half-brother Ron Styron; his grandchildren, Jordan Hinshaw Macaione, Leyton Shoupe, Garrison Hinshaw, Logan Shoupe and Adelyn Hinshaw; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Theo, Juliet Macaione and Hayley Shoupe.
