He was predeceased by: his wife Megan Laverne Rhyne; his son Jerry Reed Rhyne; and his siblings, Clara McAnn of Lincolnton and Glenn Rhyne. He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Ann Wilson of Drexel and Emogene Dominick (Bob) of Raleigh. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
