She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Thomas King; and her siblings, Viola Robinson, Vergie Stroupe, Eula Mae Hyde, J. D. Rhoney, Edward Rhoney and Jessie Rhoney.

She is survived by: her children, Larry King (Wanda) of Valdese and Michelle Deal (Roger) of Valdese; her great grandchildren, Brittanee Garrison, Lindsey Ruggles, Hunter Ross and Preslie Ross; and her great great grandchildren, Peyton Ruggles, Blakelee Garrison and Rader Garrison.
