He is survived by: his brother Albert Deal; his sister-in-law Becky Deal; his children, Richard Sidney Deal and Donna Annette Deal Norville; his son-in-law Michael Norville; his grandchildren, Michaela Nicole Norville and Richard Ashley Rich; his former wife Kaye Scruggs Deal; his sister-in-law Debra Walsh Verran; and his nieces and nephews, Scott Deal, Brad Deal, Cindy Deal McCaslin and Tammy Stevens.
