It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine Calloway (Valdese, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Huffman and Allie Lail Huffman; and her husband David Sheldon Calloway. She is survived by: her sons, Glenn Eckard (April) of Taylorsville, NC and Ernie Eckard (Jo Ann) of Hildebran, NC; her grandchildren, Eric Eckard (Kimberly), Monica Guess (Justin), Susan Painter (Caden), Neil Eckard and Adam Eckard; her great grandchildren, Madison, Greylon and Edison; and her brother Walter Huffman.
