He is survived by: his wife Christine Henson Buchanan; his children, Robin Baker (Stanley), Mike Cook, LaVonne Buchanan, Marilyn Avatefi (John) and Mary Dowell; his son-in-law Randy Johnson; and his siblings, Reva Buchanan, Dora Faye Lewis, Amy Buchanan, Lula Owens (Joe), Donna Huffman (Danny), Vernon Buchanan (Wanda) and Cliffton Buchanan (Cindy). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
