It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Duckworth Nichols of Valdese, North Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Duckworth and Minerva Williams Duckworth; her husband Harold C. Nichols; her son Stacy Nichols; and her grandson Allen Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, Delores Buff (Bennie) of Valdese and Eric Nichols of Morganton; her daughters-in-law, Barbara Buff Nichols of Valdese and Kay H. Nichols of Valdese; her grandchildren, Alisa Armstrong, Randy Nichols, Chad Nichols, Shane Newton (Donna Heath), Jason Newton and Jan Nichols; and her great grandchildren, Cody Armstrong, Dallas, Jacob Newton, Aaron Nichols, Chelsea Nichols, Colby Nichols, Dustin Nichols and Trent Nichols.
