She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Brittain and Maude McFalls Brittain; and her husbands, Herman Hartman and Robert Dienhart. She is survived by: her daughter Debra Hartman Sturkey of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, James Aiken (Shannon) of Powell, TN, Amanda Madden of Columbia, SC and Samantha Francis (John) of Columbia, SC.; and her great grandchildren, Tatiana Allen, Rorlanda Gilmore, Ciara Torres, Jordon Gilmore, Joshua Aiken and J. C. Franci. She is also survived by four great great-grandchildren.
