She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Teague and Ophelia Teague; her husband Hoyte Cooper; and her sister Judy Gibbons. She is survived by: her children, Kristy Hodges (Andy) and Chip Cooper; her daughter-in-law Denise Cooper; her daughter Julie Cooper of Valdese; her grandchildren, Dr. Jon Hodges (Stephanie Hodges) of Seattle, Dr. Matthew Hodges Murphy (Shannon Murphy) of Seattle, Carter Cooper of Valdese, Riley Cooper of Valdese, Blair Cooper of Valdese and Henry Cooper of Valdese; her great grandchild Cooper Grey Hodges of Seattle; her niece Mimi Hagan (Gary) of Chapel Hill; and her brother-in-law Bill Cooper (Debbie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Backpack Ministry at First United Methodist Church in Valdese.
