He is survived by: his wife Jackie Watson Tipton; his children, James Tipton of Connelly Springs and Kimberly Summerow (Donnie) of Valdese; his siblings, Elmer, Norman, Darrell, Dean Tipton, Ruth Martin, Doris Edwards, Wanda Lea Cannon and Helen Cannon; his grandchildren, Jerica Tipton, Emilee Summerow and Mylee Summerow; and his stepgrandchild Andrew Millwood.
