He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert McDonald Shook and Faye Poteat Shook. He is survived by: his daughter Alexandra Livezey Maynard (Luke Robert Maynard) of Los Angeles; his cousins, Bill Shook (Martha) of Rutherford College, Sharon Hudson (James) of Valdese and Janet Fisher of Morganton; his aunt Betty Going (Poteat); his son Reese of Greenwood, SC; and also, Frank, Vanessa Grill of Valdese and Elaine Shook (Lainie) of Connelly Springs.
