It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dayton Hoyt Cook (Valdese, North Carolina), who passed away on September 20, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayton Harrison Cook and Texie Hayes Cook; and his sisters, Aretta Chritcher and Mary Hill. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sue Cook; his children, Tracy Driggers (Jay), Christy Holland (James), Jeffrey Reid (Melissa) and David Booth; his siblings, Fay Fox, Ann Duckworth, Esther Williams and William Cook; and his brother-in-law Donald Booth. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
