It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Ray Hedrick of Valdese, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Hansen Hedrick. He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Hughes and Richard "Rick" Hedrick (Rita); his children, Lisa Peile (Steven), Erica Oliphant (James), Keith Hedrick and Joyce Hedrick; his grandchildren, Dominic, Christina, Jenna, Jason, Jack, Jessie and Joseph; his nieces and nephews, Craig Collins, Jr., Andrew Hughes, Hope Wenk (Scott) and Lauren Lorello (Waverly); and his close friend Anita Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals at 417 Kirksey Dr., Morganton, NC 28655.
