She is survived by: her children, Sandra Evans (Buford), Kaye Taliana of Raleigh, Ronnie Thompson (Anne) of Morganton and Denise Smith (Fred) of Valdese; her daughter-in-law Deborah Thompson of Valdese; her brother Jerry Cobb (Sue) of Lenoir; and her grandchildren, David McLaughlin of Marietta, GA, Erin Anderson (Jeff) of Dallas, GA, Kirk Edwards (Bo) of Spruce Pine, NC, Melissa Edwards Smith (Caleb) of Raleigh, Kate Sturgeon of Hickory, Ellen Settlemyer of Morganton, Nathan Brown of Morganton, Megan Suber (Charles) of Cornelius, Andrew Thompson of London, OH and Bethany Thompson of Rutherford College. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
