He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wayne Shoemake, Olen Shoemake, Virginia Tolbert and Mildred Woodruff. He is survived by: his children, Charles Shoemake (Lindsey) of Valdese, NC, Lenny Shoemake (Pam) of Rutherford College, NC, Gary Shoemake (Terry) of Southport, NC, Michelle Davis (Jason) of Valdese, NC, Sandra Reid of Rutherford College, NC and Cindy Meadows (Art) of Conover, NC; his wife Margaret Clontz Shoemake; and his sisters, Silvia Greene and Goldie Estes of Lenoir, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
