It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Author Holcombe of Valdese, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Holcombe and Daisy Miller Holcombe; his wife Joyce Fay Lanning Holcombe; his daughter Donna H. Campbell; and his granddaughter Tonya Holcombe.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Christian of Valdese, Tammy Ballew of Waynesville, Marsha Moore of Waynesville, Alan Holcombe of Valdese and Joseph Holcombe of Virginia; and his sisters, Mary Webb of Swannanoa, Lucille Parham of Leicester and Shirley Rogers of Waynesville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
