She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lowman and Mary Ogle Lowman; and her husband Derry A. Franklin, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Derry A. Franklin, Jr. (Angie) of Morganton; her granddaughters, Misty Day and Candace Scott of South Carolina; and her siblings, Richard Lowman (Kathy) of Rutherford College, Mackie Lowman of Hickory, Joette Ford of Cherryville and Debi Nantz of Cullowhee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
