It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Jean Lowder Martin of Valdese, North Carolina, born in Stanley, North Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Russell Heatherly; her stepfather Col. James Heatherly; and her brother Phillip Lowder. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Martin; her son James Russell Hogan (Tiffany); her siblings, Barney "Tim" Lowder (Reva) and Phyllis Hill (Mike); her aunt Linda Russell; and her nieces and nephews, Savannah, Samantha, Preston and Timothy. She is also survived by her family and friends.
