She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Lowdermilk and Eunice Whisenant Lowdermilk; her husband Johnnie Powell; her son James Douglas Powell; her grandson Jaimie Nelson Powell; her stepmother Mary Alice Lowdermilk; and her siblings, Manford Lowdermilk, Eugene Lowdermilk, Walter Lowdermilk and Sissy.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Ellen Mull (Dennis), Johnnie Powell, Jr. (Patricia), Leon Nelson Powell (Barbara) and Thad David Powell (Sandra); her daughter-in-law Elaine Powell; her grandchildren, Kim Siddons (Jeff), Dawn Crawford (Shane), Tammy Ritchie (Mark), Todd Mull, Jeff Mull (Heather), April Beam (Wesley), Jonathan Powell, Chris Powell (Misty), Keith Powell (Leia) and Terri Duckworth; her siblings, Louise Conner (Earl), Joann Pritchard (Roy), Linda Stillwell (Dewey), Mildred Crump (Joe) and Bill Lowdermilk; and her sister-in-law Marie Lowdermilk. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
