Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Ione Kline Smith of Valdese, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 92, on May 3, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frederick and Harriett McBride Kline. She is survived by: her children, Charleen S. Smith of Valdese, Cheryl Baker of Sawmills and Kevin C. Smith of Valdese; her grandchildren, Matthew, Josh, Christy, Amy and Bethany; her great grandchildren, Isaac, Grayson, Skylyn, Alana, Wesley, Krista, Priscilla, Asa, Nick, Noah, Christopher and Cameron; and her pet Lizzy.
Interment will be in the N. C. Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC. (Mask and Social Distancing will be required), Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 10 until 11:00 AM Friday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdes.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Friends for Animals, or Burke Recovery.
