She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Branch and Lois Benfield; her husband Grady Maltba; her son Donald Maltba; and her sister Dorothy Cannon.
She is survived by: her sisters, Gladys Carswell of Connelly Springs and Pansy Isaacs of Morganton; her children, Brenda Scott (William Hunt) of Asheville, Kathy Conley (Joe) of Morganton and Michael Maltba (Dawn) of Valdese; and her grandchildren, Donna, Susie, Angel, Jeremy, Sam, Jesse, Josh, Travis and Taylor. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
