It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Ray Evans of Valdese, North Carolina, who passed away on August 2, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Bud Evans and Dorothy Knox Evans; and his brothers, Milford Rector and William Evans. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Fredell Evans; his children, Billy Beard (Cynthia), Allen Beard and Elizabeth Evans; and his sister Virginia Oxentine. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews.
