He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Clarence and Lula Minniebelle Melton Arrowood; his wife Florree Rumfelt Arrowood; and his siblings, Mason Arrowood, Sylvia Parton, Chalmer Arrowood, Hoyle Arrowood, Lucille Rollins, Reba Pruitt, C. B. Arrowood and Velvie Frady.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Gibbs, Joan Dowdle (Johnny) of Union Mills and Earleen Aderhold (Joel) of Loganville, GA; his grandchildren, Johnny Dowdle of Rutherfordton, Maggie Stephens (Brian) of Monroe, GA, Adam Aderhold (Elizabeth) of Monroe, GA, Deborah Dowdle of Rutherfordton, Sherry Clubb (Gary) of Rutherfordton and Tammy Boggs (Houston) of Union Mills; and his sister Ruby Holland of Kinston, NC..
