Colene Nanney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Colene Nanney (Union Mills, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora P. Arrowood and Albert B. Arrowood; her husband Hugh Donald Nanney; her stepmother Mary Arrowood; and her siblings, Helen Joanne Bailey, Ruby Jean Hill, Francis Arrowood Brigman Shehan, W. J. Arrowood, Albert Arrowood Jr., Glen Arrowood and Leonard Arrowood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynette Melton (Kim), Donna Ferguson and Laura Manis (Andy); her grandchildren, Pam Childers, Matt Ford (Angie) and Dillon Watson Shadrick Watson; her great grandchildren, Malachi Ford, Jaylee Reynolds, Hunter Sherman and Cheyenne Sherman; her brother Roger Arrowood (Susan); and her caregiver Cheryl Saylor.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (6611 Hudlow Rd, Union Mills, NC 28167).
Colene always sang "Give me flowers while I'm living", so please in lieu of flowers for her service give flowers to someone you love who can enjoy them today.
