It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Huss Mote of Union Mills, North Carolina, born in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin "Love" Vance Huss Sr. and Addie Huss; her husband Edward Anderson Mote, Sr.; her siblings, Pauline, Vance, Margaret and Ruth; her daughter Vera Mae Mote Prichard; her grandson Eugene Pritchard; and her pet Sam.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hill (Steve), Pattie Head (Gene), Barbara Craig (Michael), Janet Rosey Hancock (Walter) and Edward Anderson Mote, Jr. (Tina). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
