With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Tommy Dowell of Union Grove, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Fredrick Dowell and Velta Redmond Dowell; his siblings, Frederick Dowell (Josephine), William Dowell (Glenda), Joshua Dowell and Ila Ruth Simpson (Homer); and his siblings-in-law, Joe Jolly, Jr., William Brown and Loretta Dowell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Osborne Dowell; his sons, Rhyne Dowell (Lisa) and Mark Dowell (Dana); his siblings, Landon Dowell, Lyman Dowell (Louise), Lynn D. Jolly, Kay D. Brown and Faye D. Ellis (Frank); his grandchildren, Andrea Smith (Preston), Sarah Dowell and Landon Dowell; and his great grandchild Mary Evelyn Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Union Grove United Methodist Church (1331 Sloans Mill Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689). A burial will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the same location.
