He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Mahaffey Souther; his daughter Sandra Souther Templeton (Jeff) of Greenville; his grandson Griffin Templeton of Greenville; and his siblings, Tony Souther (Trish) of North Wilkesboro, Frances Parks of Statesville, Ann O'Connell of North Wilkesboro and Linda Barnette (Billy) of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by brother's-in-law; sister's-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
