He was predeceased by: his parents, Elic Murphy and Carrie Lou Millsaps Marlowe; his wife Mary Gold Marlowe; his son Bryan McLain; and his siblings, Stafford D. Marlowe, Florence M. Lewis, Erma L. Jordan and Pauline M. Campbell.
He is survived by: his son Barry Marlowe (Paula) of Union Grove; his grandchildren, Brandon McLain (Julia) of Statesville, Sarah Jones (Matthew) of Troutman and Ethan Marlowe (Elizabeth) of Chickasha, OK; and his great grandchildren, Maximus, Roman McLain, Kadynce and Ayvrie Jones.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Taylor Springs Baptist Church (443 Taylor Springs Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the same location.
