The memory of Janice Reavis Mitchell of Union Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hal Monroe Reavis, Sr. and Mary Cascaddon Reavis; her husband James Colin Mitchell; and her brother Hal "Buster" Reavis, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, David (Melissa) and Randy (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Justin, Andrew, Allyson and Hannah Mitchell; her sisters, Rickie Miller (Doyte), Joyce Walker and Jewell Jordan; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Mitchell and Mary Alice Smith (Richard). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home (135 E Front St, Statesville, NC 28677). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grassy Knob Baptist Church (333 Grassy Knob Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grassy Knob Cemetery Fund in her memory.
