It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Roy Speece of Union Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan James and Eula Mae Souther Speece; his daughter Marlene Gail Speece; and his siblings, Bob, Bill, David, Ken Speece, Thinie Speece and Josephine Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Dr. Marie C. Speece; and his sister Charlotte S. Starrette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
