He is survived by: his spouse Willia Sue Nicholson Souther; his son Michael Souther (Carolyn) of Union Grove; his stepgranddaughters, Jessica Hawkins of Millers Creek and Brandi Miller of North Wilkesboro; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tara Hawkins, Destyne Hawkins and Abigail Brooks; and his siblings, Clay Souther (Jeanie) of Union Grove, Frances Parks of Statesville, Ann O'Connell of North Wilkesboro, Linda Barnette (Billy) of North Wilkesboro and Tony Souther (Patricia "Trish") of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
