He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clyde and Hilda Jean Harmon Williams; his brother Charlie Lee Williams; his niece Rebecca Williams; and his former wife Shelia Rupard.

He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Eric Thomas, David James, Laura Ann and Jessica Louise Williams; and his siblings, Benny Williams (Lilly) and Jean Redmond (Tony) of Union Grove.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be given to Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, 191 Sipe Rd. Taylorsville, NC. 28681 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
