He was predeceased by: his father L. P. Speaks; his son Stony Speaks; and his parents-in-law, JD and Maggie Clark. He is survived by: his wife Janie Speaks; his daughter Angel Caldwell; his mother Helen Speaks; his brother Kenneth Speaks (Rita); his daughter-in-law Shanna Speaks; his grandchildren, Ryan Hurley, Dylan Speaks, Gage Caldwell and Chandler Speaks; his great grandchildren, Lacey, Elijah, Zaney Ryn, Luke, Juddson, Bailey, Paisleigh and Baby Speaks; and his close friend Kenny Meyerhoffer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (300 Indian Hill Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689).
