We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2024, at the age of 70, Billy Joe Hollar of Union Grove, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Gene Hollar and Myrtle Nicholson Hollar. He is survived by: his children, Amy McCoy and Chris Hollar; his grandchildren, Sydnie McCoy, Ava Esh and Ariel DeShields; his brother Ricky Hollar; the mother of his children Leann McHargue (Georgianna Hollar); and his close friends, Larry Nicholson, Grant Snook, Rocky Parker, Chester Godfrey, Dave Crosby, Chris Hollar, Andy Galliher and Pete Price. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members, and his beloved fur baby.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Baker's Grove Baptist Church (182 Barkers Grove Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the same location.
