He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Eugene and Louetta Crutchlow McGuire; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Scott and Mackey Carter. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Wiggins McGuire; his children, Joy Renee Lee (Thomas) of Tyner and Talmadge Preston "Buddy" McGuire of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandson Noah Branch of Lynchburg, TN; and his siblings, Linda Scott of Norfolk, VA, Mary Carter of Petersburg, VA, Gene McGuire (Barbara) of Snellville, GA and Bobby McGuire (Sharlyln) of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Men's Sunday School Class of Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church, 3025 Virginia Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
