She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walter and Sarah Elizabeth Boyce Evans; her husband Ivie Alphonso Elliott; her son Johnny Elliott; and her siblings, Mary Hollowell, Lit Pierce, Wayland, Elton, Dallas and Horace Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Alexander (Thurman) of Chesapeake, Robin Byrum (Walter) of Tyner and Ivie Elliott, Jr. (Pat) of Elizabeth City; her daughter-in-law Jo Ann of Washington; her sister Gloria Voigt of Edenton; and her grandchildren, Sherry Blackwell, Tim Alexander, Tori Sacca, Camaryn Byrum, Carrie Jordan, Jessica Elliott, Jake Saunders, Rhonda Reason and Shannon Davis. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
