He is survived by: his parents, David S. Griffin and Linda Spellman Griffin of Elizabeth City; his wife Lottie Simon Griffin; his brother David Wendell Griffin of Tampa, FL; and his mother-in-law Jean Simon of Elizabeth City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of their sons' college education fund.
