He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Therion Ellis and Frances Louise Hardy Newby; his wife Billie Jean Cornelius Newby; his children, Sherry Bodden of Grimsby, Ontario, Timothy Newby (Liana) of Grimsby, Ontario, Kelly Jo Caroon (Michael) of Windsor and Philip Boedker of Galveston, TX; his sister Jo Helen Harvey (Larry) of Herndon, VA; his grandchildren, Bre-Anne, Katie (Mike Wiemelink), Mariah, Brooke (Eric MacDonald), Joshua, Mikayla (Logan Chapman) and Makensey; his nephew Timmy Cutrell (Pat); and his pets, Sadie and Dixie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Center Hill Baptist Church (943 Sandy Ridge Rd, Tyner, NC 27980).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the missionary fund of Chowan Christian Fellowship, in care of Thomas Gregory, 412 Happy Home Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
