It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester Lee Woolard of Tyner, North Carolina, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Woolard and Rosa Jones Woolard; his wife Myrtle Woolard; and his siblings, Horace, Thad, Dewey, Marshall Woolard, Zadie Marie Everette and Icelean Adams.
He is survived by: his sons, Sammy Woolard of New Bern and Darrell J. Woolard of Tarboro; his stepson Jerry Wynne of Bath; his daughters, Debbie Woolard of Tarboro and Vickie Woolard Throne of Rocky Mount; and his stepdaughter Janice Webb of Bear Grass. He is also survived by grandchildren 18; great grandchildren.
