With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adelaide Layden Hendrix of Tyner, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Elfred and Beatrice Copeland Layden; her husband Noah M. "Mack" Hendrix; her son Randy Hendrix; and her siblings, Doris Monds, Sylvia Miller, Helen Riddick, Oliver and Carlton Layden.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Faye Martin (Jim) of Hertford and Johnny Mack Hendrix (Nancy) of Tyner; her sisters, Clemma Bunch of Belvidere and Marlene Bass of Hobbsville; her granddaughter Lisa Hendrix Perry (Shane); her great grandchildren, Tony B. Hendrix of Tyner and Kayla N. Perry of Tyner; and her daughter-in-law Wendy Hendrix of Jarvisburg.
With the resurgence of the Covid Virus in the area, no formal visitation is planned; however friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following services on Saturday.
