He was predeceased by: his parent Alfred Coggins; and his siblings, Ellen Jean Morrison, Bobbie Ann Hipps, Arliss "Pete" Coggins and Douglas Coggins.

He is survived by: his parent Callie Osteen Coggins; his brother Big; his spouse Venus Requierme Coggins; his sisters, Loretta Moody (Don) and Sheilah Brown (John); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Coggins and Willis P. Hipps. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tuxedo First Baptist Church, PO Box 685, Zirconia, NC 28790.
